Presentation
Boni is a male gibbon of species Hylobates agilis albibarbis, one of gibbon species who can be found in south of the Kapusa river and west of the Barito river in Kalimantan, Indonesia.
Year of birth year (estimation) : 2010.
History :
Boni was saved on january, 26 2017 in Muara Teweh, a small town located in Kalimantan central.
Like many others wild animals illegaly kept, Boni was kept as a pet by humans.
Now staying at Kalaweit, Boni has a chance to be released in the forest. But before that he must spend some years of rehabilitation in our center.
